Just for fun I set this random league to sim and sim and sim. Started in 1960 and the league is now at 2099, Pretty darn impressed by the numbers this league has put up.

Ty Cobb finished his career with 4000+ hits. Hank Aaron sits a top the home run leaders with 596. Only one pitcher has reached 300 wins. Nolan Ryan has exactly 300 wins.

I've never had anyone even reach Ruth's HR total.

I've come close, but this one is using high fatigue and Normal for both short and long term injuries(earlier I mistakenly said it was using high for both). I haven't had Ruth appear yet. Cool thing is Roberto ended up with roughly 3500 hits.

54 is the single season home run record. I think 3 players have reached 50 with Dick Allen doing it twice.

Jimmy Foxx drove in 170+ one season.

I use OOTP Classic for injuries and normal fatigue. Star players with long careers often have more ABs than historical.

My last random had way too many players reaching 3000 hits. This one with high fatigue has brought that number down quite a bit.

By the way, do you think 3000 hits should earn a player induction into the Hall of Fame? I'm seeing a few guys getting passed up even though they have 3000+ hits. Don Mattingly is one of them.

Maybe. If a lot of players have 3000 hits then it's less meaningful.

But starting Cs only get 100 games, right?

Yeah, that is one huge drawback. Especially when it comes to the guys that caught a lot.

In this one the 3000 guys are right around what they are in real life.
