Where do you prefer to sit?

A comment in the season ticket thread gave me the idea for this thread.

When I saw this I wondered why anybody would want to give up good outfield seats for seats down the lines. So, where does everyone prefer to sit? My #1 choice is to see in right/right-center field (my point of reference is Comiskey Park, where I've gone for 95% of my MLB games). I also prefer seats and not bleachers.

Although closer, I don't like seats down the lines (in foul territory) much just because of the angles. Behind home plate is alright, but I just feel so far away from the action (in the outfield, the action is coming towards me).

I would agree. In all the Red's games I have gone to, my favorite seats were the ones we had in right field, about 3 rows up.

Well, my preference pre-Petco Park would be left field, near the foul pole. Since Petco Park, my choice would be straight-away left field or right-center field.

I try to get as close to the field as possible, minus the outfield sections. I like being as close to the infield as possible I should say.

Never liked the outfield seats because I felt like I was miles away from the action. Preferably behind home plate, but also like the seats a bit to the side where your in line with either the 1st or 3rd base line.

I like the metrodome outfield lower or upper deck. For the price, it cant be beat!

I always like right beside 1B. Best seats I ever had was when I took my Dad to an Indians game for father's day at Jacobs Field. This was when the Indians were selling every game out and I got in on the last available seats for the game. They have to go through all the regular seats and when nothing else is left they sell the special access seats for the disabled, we got two of those. So we wound up with our own personal section, just the two of us, right next to 1B, with nobody around us and a concession stand 25 feet behind us.

reminds me of the seats that i've described in the Big O. Six bucks for 3B side, 100 level. And that's Canadian folks. That's why Montreal ruled, even if the team didnt at the time

I'd much rather sit 10 rows back at ground level between third base and the left fielder, than in the upper deck along the right field line. It just feels like I'm more in the game when I'm closer to the action.

Although it was definitely implied, I didn't pick up on the upper deck aspect. I'd agree with you there. I'm not a fan of the upper deck, period.

I'm not so picky about sitting close to the field, although it's nice on occasion, I just want to sit behind home plate and not in the outfield or down the lines. I think the view is best that way. Fortunately at Dodger Stadium I can sit behind home plate for $6, albeit in the Top Deck. I'm happy up there though, I get a view behind home plate and didn't have to spend much to do it.

2nd level, here in Colorado they are the club seats, and close to home plate

I think these seats leave me close enough to really get into the game action while getting me above field level enough to better watch defensive positioning

My favorite place to see a game is either RF (which is easier to find tickets usually), or behind home plate upper deck, since I will never have the chance to see one from lower deck behind the plate.

I like seeing how the game unfolds behind the plate, opens up the game to me.

The section I prefer in MM is a few rows back behind the 1B dugout between first and home plate, but those tix are $42 (beyond the bags is $33). However, the best bang for the buck is the upper deck beyond the RF fence, where you can get a nice seat for 13 bucks. Next best value is the same place, only in the lower deck - 21 bucks. I went to about 40 games last year and was sitting in the $5 special by the end of the season.

I like to sit one row behind good looking well-endowed women who like wearing low cut outfits. It gives me something to look at when there is a break in the action.
