AAA lineups and pitching staffs/mass release and signing

Every day during the season, each AI team is making 10-25 promotions/demotions, ususally involving the same players. Many players are being promoted from AAA to nowhere (i.e. transaction line reads "Joe Schmo was promoted from AAA to."

The daily promotion/demotion was going, but now a side effect seems to be that the AI will not fill out its AAA line up and pitching staff. The A and AA levels have their lineups complete, but AAA has only a handful of players in the lineup or pitching staff, and some cases none at all. The irony is that the AI by far and away has more players at the AAA level, often having as many as 30 or even more players. Why aren't these lineups and pitching staffs filled out?

This also may be tied to the weekly mass signings of players released during the previous week. Most weeks about 5-10 players get released in the 16 team league. The following week, all of those players are signed en masse by one team, occasionally two. The players usually wind up being filler on the AAA roster and never play.

Is there a fix to this short of deleting players or turning teams to human control?

Yep. There's a fix. Expansion Pack 6.5.

I'm hoping this quote from the feature list is the fix:

Smarter roster handling AI
The new roster handling AI does not only benefit from the new player evaluation, it was almost completely reworked and now feels more realistic, resulting in less waiver moves and a better understanding of the roster structure.

Is this confirmed? Markus didn't list bug fixes in his 6.5 announcement, and I didn't see this specifically addressed in the features list. It would also be nice to see the day-to-day majors to minors and minors to minors promotion/demotion of the same players stopped, although this is probably part of the same bug.

If it is fixed, that's great news from my POV.
