Deadline Freezing
I am at July 29, and after I simmed all the games for the day, the game proceeds to "finish day" as it always does. However, a small window then pops up and says "DEADLINE TRADING." The game then freezes, and I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to get the program to shut down (yes, it does say "Not Responding" on the program screen). I have disabled in-game sound, uninstalled and reinstalled OOTP, and done everything else I've seen to do on this board. I have the 6.12 patch, and I am running on XP. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

There is a 95% chance that the game IS NOT frozen, do not base your post on the "windows message". Depending on your system, what other programs are open and running at the time - during this time of the season it could take 30+ minutes or more(on older, slower PC's). My advice...either: 1) Turn trading OFF at this point. OR 2) WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this point in the season the game is making multiple 1,000's of decisions, trades, evaluations, etc and all this takes time.

Thanks, that did work. I know it froze the first time because I got a phone call during the sim and ended up leaving it on the screen for almost an hour. When I got back, it was still at the same spot. I have a feeling that was just a fluke, and every other time, I was probably expecting it to be too fast. It doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. Thanks for your help!
