Yankees' F. Rodriguez tears knee cartilage, faces 4-6 weeks out

Only heard this briefly. Apparently, he got out of the shower and tore some cartilage and will probably need surgery.

Yes, seriously, he was getting out of the shower.

The Cubs were looking to make a move for him, so now that he's hurt, expect that trade to come soon.

Actually, this is a good thing for the Yanks from my perspective. The guy looked toasted last year.

Well, if there was some hiding the soap, he defintely didn't want to be involved since he was leaving the shower. Of course, he could have been getting out to bring someone else in.

*sniff* Following in the Giant and ex-Giant tradition of suffering grevious harm doing mundane tasks. Brings a tear to my eye.

I do... This is fairly significant to me as a Sox fan.

Probably only if there was a fan of that team who was a regular TS poster. Middle relievers don't really make front page news, but neither does a lot of important stuff in baseball.

Who thinks he was actually in the shower? Isn't it fishy that guys always injure themselves taking a shower or turning the television station but don't ever sprain an ankle while dancing alone to "Hammer Time" or break a wrist during drunken arm-wrestling?

Since I wouldn't want to be chastised for creating another who the **** cares thread, the Yanks released Steve Karsay today and ate 6.25 million dollars in doing so.

Now that was interesting. The fact that some middle reliever got hurt, that isn't news.

Any player who got hurt dancing to hammer time would easily become my favorite player/person
