Problem Actually Playing the Game

Ok If i Disable both Sound and 3D Graphics it works, but i have a hard time reading it. Tried it with sound disabled and just the 3D graphics enable and a ERROR screen pops up that says:

An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function, or the object was not in a state that permitted function to be called. This value is equal to the E_INVALIDARG standard COM return value.

Then i press ok and another pop comes up that says

Error InitDirect Draw

Anything i can do to solve this problem any suggest will be attempted and you can AIM me directly with an answer to UofM2005champs or reply i will check here as often as possible tonight as i toggle with it myself.

You may need to update your video drivers and see if that helps.

Sorry but that wasnt it my Driver is already as up to date as possible other tidbits that may help or more than likely not help lol

Most up to date Direct X
um on Windows XP Home Edition (Defore Downloading all updated stuff and what not the i completely removed everything and put it back on so OOTP6 and Direct X9 are my most up to date things i checked the driver it's up to date too)
anything else?

Are you using an older video card? If not the only solution that I'm aware of apparently isn't working for you....toggling 3D.

The name of the video card is 3Dfx Interactive, Inc Banshee umm is there anyway i or you could check and see if that is obselete for the game like i said it worked with OOTP5 is there much of a difference there or am i off in left field?

wow banshee thats old school, since 3dfx has been out of buisness for now like 5 years? I am positive that it is not a supported device under directx9 and I know 3dfx cards are not supported devices by windows XP. I suggest you go out and spend a few bucks on an upgraded card. You can get a cheap entry level Nvidia, ATI card for under $50. I think you would be alot happier and see much better performance in all your applications not just OOTP.

Well see that means i didnt lie when i said it was as up to date as possible lol money's a lil tight now so i'll have to wait but i will do that
