NEW League Forming...

Hello everybody,

I am starting a new league, Baseball Enthusiast's Only (BEO). I am looking for some passionate owners who are committed to turning their team into a perrenial powerhouse. You can be a first time owner, I do not discriminate, however, all I ask is you are a big baseball fan, committed, and looking for a challenge.

Each owner can only own 1 team.
We will use current rosters.
SIMs will be 2-3 times per week.

Derek and Jared were 2 of the most enthusiastic owners in the now defunct NABA league and I believe that any league they would create should be a very successful one. If you want to join a new league that has a good solid foundation, I would advise you to try this one out. Wish them both good luck in their endeavor.

I would love to be in with this league.

I would prefer the sims to be twice a week, which makes it easier to keep up with, but I think I can handle going three times a week now that my schedule is clear.

AL CENTRAL: Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins
AL WEST: Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners

NL EAST: Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals
NL CENTRAL: Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates
NL WEST: Arizona D-Back, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants

Here are some answers to the most commonly asked questions:

- OOTP 6.12 is required
- Rosters will be as current as possible
- League will begin as soon as all vacancies are filled
- Sim will be 2 times per week (most likely Tues/Thurs)

Here is some info on game settings.

2005 Rosters
Ratings system 1-10 with star ratings on.
Cash is at $10 Million Max
No Cap till 2008 then it will be $90 Million (this gives teams over a chance to get under before penaltys are enforced, especially NY & Boston )
Trading - players, picks and cash
Rule 5 draft - ON
Minor League Option Years - ON
Have decided to have a 7 round 1st Year Player Draft.
Will have Participation Point System so GMs can improve their teams in various ways.

We have 5 teams open at this time and once they are filled we will allow trading. Will have league file up on website as soon as possible. Dbobola is in process of moving to a webserver that will enhance our website and give us more options to add on. Think you will really like the league once we get everything up and going.
