Do this trade?
In a non-keeper league, I'd be giving Manny Ramirez, B.J. Upton, and Randy Wolf for Miguel Cabrera and Jason Schmidt. To me it seems like a no-brainer, but I always second guess myself when giving up a Manny-caliber player.

Yes, I'd do it. Miguel Cabrera will put up solid power #s and RBI, and then you're trading a young shortstop and a SP for a superstar caliber SP.

Tampa is doing everything they can to make sure that Upton doesn't play. In a non-keeper league, his value is pretty hard to project (if anything at all).

I'd do it as well. Manny isnt' going to put up better numbers than he did last year, but Miggy could quite easily. Upton's value this season is questionable at best - in a non-keeper league, he's got minimal value. The upgrade from Randy Friggin' Wolf to one of the top five pitchers in baseball is huge.
Definately pull the trigger before he/she backs out.

FYI, the only reason Upton is even on my team is because we play with active and inactive rosters, with 25 players being active at a time. We go as far as to starting 5 OFs, a corner infielder, middle infielder, and DH. So the player pool that we use is relatively deep.
