Early 90's historical league has vacancy
The ORB just crowned a new champion to finish off the 1992 season. We will be rolling the file over in the next few days and start the off-season. The ORB is a fun league that began play in 1982.
A long time owner needed to step down due to work and has left behind a solid franchise in the California Angels , fresh off a 100 win season, 2-time World Champs and the 1992 champs. The league does have a participation point requirement. If you are interested please fill out an Application |

I'm the guy that recently resigned as the owner of the California Angels and I have a few choice words to say about the ORB.
Other Reality Baseball likes to describe itself as one of the best OOTP leagues around. They point to their extremely active owner base, their long history (now starting their 12th season), their innovative and intelligent rules, their custom edited historical rookies (Thanks Aussie Mark!), and their effective governing board (if the commish is away then one of his backups runs the sim). The ORB swaggers and brags and it's all true. This is an outstanding historical league. The Angels are a solid team and have an excellent shot at making a 5th straight playoff appearance. They had the lowest ERA in the American League last year and were third in runs scored. The rotation features future ORB Hall-of-Famer Dave Steib (17-6 2.78) and Mike Morgan (19-9 3.49). The Angels have an powerful outfield featuring 1991 MVP Stan Javier (.283 48 129), Dante Bichette (.335 29 124), and Paul O'Neill (.230 32 108). The biggest challenge for a new owner will be finding a replacement for free agent 1B Mike Marshall (.299 39 120). If you like 90's baseball then this is the league to join.

awesome league, absolutely great, top notch competition. if you're willing to write at least one team article per week to meet the points requirements (there are other ways, but that is the easiest) and you're looking for a great historical league with active owners and are up for the challenge (although you're getting a pretty good head start with the Angels) then I suggest you apply for this opening immediately.

Speaking as the commish, I'm always flattered when people say we're one of the best leagues around. We do what we can to keep the league lively and fun, and what initially attracted me to the league was the fact that its fun to have the players I watched over the last couple of decades on the rosters.
We've had great response to the California opening and will be making a decision by Monday, and if you like what you see in the league, stick around as a vulture! You never know when another team is going to open up, and if we are tossing around expansion sometime in the next few seasons, which could create other openings.
