IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

sounds easy enough but i would still not know how to apply it to my site. but if it is as easy as a simple copy and paste then i fell confident that i could do it.

but since i have never had my own website i really am unsure of what i need to do.

I was kidding - it's an old joke.

but it's not that far off - I'd recommend getting an HTML for dummies book or something similar and then checking out the different league sites for design styles to inspire you for your own site. With very little "training" you can come up with a fine, serviceable site.

A simple, WYSIWYG HTML editor such as Front Page Express (not Front Page) is an excellent place to start.

We use Microsoft Frontpage for our league. Makes it very easy to maintain. Front page will let you open most web pages within the program and edit it how you like. As always make sure you talk to whoever's page you using and make sure they are ok with it

You can make a website with Microsoft Word (bare bones) and then ftp it to your server.

My suggestion after you get to know your way around a webpage designer is that you take a look at various league sites to get an idea of what you like and what you don't like. But, be sure to get permission if you will be using any of these specific elements exactly.

Or you could do what i did. Get a friend who knows how to build a website t join the league and handle the website stuff. Not only does it get a website done, it also reduces the amount of "work" the commish has to do.
