involuntary FA bids in online league

I thought I had already posted this, but I guess not...

6.11 and earlier versions of v.6, and I think in v.5.

Basically, bids that were not entered by the owner appear for the team. When it was first reported (6-9 mos. ago), I thought it was user error, but over the past few seasons it has happened to different owners, and this season it has been happening to me.

Not much else to add...We do FTP bid exports, and I don't think it occurred before we had that option. I haven't noticed any pattern in the players who get bid on. It does seem to only happen to 1 or 2 teams each season.

It happened three times to me in only the first three game days of FA - one player on the first day, and two others on the third.

Is the commish deleting the FA exports from the server in between sims? If not, the next season these old exports could be re-imported causing all sorts of wackiness.

This also happens pretty much every offseason in the SBL.

Huh...Would this only affect teams without exports for the new season, or could it affect others as well? That could be a real easy fix.

Yes, it only affects imports that are not overwritten. I recommend deleting all FA exports from the server once Free Agency is done.

I'll do that, but FYI for the OOTP team, we've been getting the involuntary bids even when new FTP FA exports have been done. I.e., I'll import all bids and a team with new voluntary bids will also have new involuntary bids.

Ditto. I've bid and had my new bids on the system, with other bids I didn't make added to them.
