Attn: Logo Designers-Mexico City Aguilas-Logo #11 Favorites Compilation
PLEASE NOTE YOU HAVE UNTIL TUESDAY, MARCH 29 TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES.
MEXICO CITY AGUILAS is Logo #11 to be designed for the Logo Favorites Compilation. "Aguilas" is eagles in Spanish. Mexico City is famous for being one of the largest cities in the world...top 3...settled by the Aztecs, who developed a wonderfully well-designed society and government...except for sacrificing humans...Spanish Conquistadores defeated them and almost totally destroyed everything about them...not just for conquest and power, but possibly for religious reasons, too...the symbol on the Mexican flag is from the Aztecs...eagle holding a serpent in its claw...I think it is the Aztec creation story...the flag colors are probably from the early days of the Republic (Green/White/Red) and have symbolic meanings. If you would like to design a logo, you have until Midnight Tuesday, March 29 at 11:59 pm CST (USA) to e-mail it to jnshmoo. You may submit more than one logo...but please make them distinctly different from each other...and not just slight variations of the same logo HIS EMAIL ADDRESS: ootplogo at jnshmoo.us (You will have to take out the "spaces" and add the real "at" symbol...this is to cut down on spam to jnshmoo). IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RECEIPT CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ENTRY WITHIN 24 HOURS, CONTACT JNSHMOO BY PM (PRIVATE MESSAGE). YOU SHOULD ALSO RESEND YOUR ENTRY TO HIM. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU GET YOUR ENTRY IN PRIOR TO THE LAST 24 HOURS OF THE ENTRY DEADLINE. Size: 150 x 150 pixels JPG FORMAT The logo should be designed to show up well on the OOTPB screens. RULES: DO NOT USE ANY EXISTING PRO SPORTS LEAGUES LOGOS. A designer cannot use an already existing professional logo in the logo design and creation...it must be a new creation. The time zone is Central Standard Time in the USA...my time zone. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR LOGO: 11:59 PM CST TUESDAY, MARCH 29 For the time zone challenged, Midnight Central Time on Tuesday is: (COMPLIMENTS OF THE TIMELESS WONDER, LE GRANDE ORANGE) 9:59 p.m. Pacific on Tuesday 10:59 p.m. Mountain on Tuesday 11:59 p.m. Central on Tuesday 12:59 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday 1:59 a.m. Atlantic on Wednesday 5:59 a.m. GMT on Wednesday |

Two from me for this week. After missing the last four teams, my hat's back in the ring... twice...

Not doing one this week. Having trouble creating curved text in Paint Shop Pro. I just received it as a gift and don't know how to use all the features. Does someone have a beginner's tutorial somewhere?

I thought you were nuts for a minute CR. I have went to moondesigns.com and million times and couldn't find any tutorials......then I realized that you typed moonsdesigns.com. Thanks for the tip.

I'm quite interested in seeing how this week turns out. While one of my two submissions is fairly conventional, the second is a bit different in concept. I'm quite pleased with both. I usually don't think this way, perhaps it's been the lack of contribution for the last few weeks, but I'm confident that both ideas will do well. In fact, if they don't, I'll be surprised.
Anyway, it won't be long before I find out whether my enthusiasm for the designs was warranted or not (though I'll still like them)... |
