Logo Contest Week 10 Poll

Here we go folks. We are at the half-way point in our 20 week contest.

The Gold Sox must have given our designers fits trying to come up with something unique. We've got a small group, but the quality is outstanding. I have a feeling that this will be a tight race.

Remember that this contest was designed to select logos for use in the OOTP game. Please take this into consideration when placing your votes.

All of these are technically very well done.
Our designers are really skilled and talented.
And they all made the lettering large enough to show up in the game.

I voted for #1 and #2...both have fine colors, contrast and fonts.

#1 is just an excellent logo...great simplicity...you know it is a baseball logo...love the player leaping for the ball...actually leaping inside the circle to catch the ball...outstanding idea.

#2 is amazingly creative with the Gold Sox in the shape of California...and placing the star where the city is located is a brilliant touch.

Not only are these designers technically skilled...but very creative, too.

#2 is the easy choice for me. I am not a big fan of the black but the logo design is great.

Logo 2 is the only one I particularly like. Very clever use of the sock in the logo. Still trying to figure out what is pictured in logo 7. A ball of dirty gold socks?

#1 was my favorite, although I also liked (and voted for) #6 and #7.

#4 is the coolest logo. But how does the bee represent the Gold Sox. Maybe if they were the Goldbugs or Golden Stingers. It's the best logo though.

I did that logo. When I was thinking of the Gold Sox, I was thinking, "everyone is gonna incorporate either California, Gold or Sox." Well I wanted to do something different. Something that would have a "mascot" to say.

So I did a Google Search of Sacramento, and I came across the Sacramento Bee, which is a popular Northern California news source. That's where the idea to put a bee in it. I never said it would win this thing, but it was something that I thought would be different, and I wouldn't change it at all.

I really liked all of these. 1, 2, 4 were the most well done I thought.

I went with #1, #2, and #8.

Since no one's mentioned 8, I really dig the colours and lettering on it... and the socks forming the X makes a nice touch.
