Best way to do a league retraction?
We are considering retracting the league by a few teams in the BigDog League Baseball - does anyone know of a good way to do it without losing all the players?
We are also looking for more GMs... come check us out. |

I've heard of leagues doing it a couple of ways. One league I read about just deleted the teams (which automatically puts all of the players into the free agent pool) right before the free agent period, and then let the players go to the highest bidders.
In the JOBL, we did a 3 round draft when we went from 18 to 16 teams. The commish had to do it all manually, but it was really fun and helped the competitive balance of the league considerably. The left over players wound up in the free agent pool. |
