The ACL, that most venerable of leagues, is pleased to announce the search for a new ownership group of the Detroit Tigers is underway.

For those looking to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new league, you're in the wrong thread.

However, for those of you who like to get up every day and know what your sim baseball league will be doing that day, this might be the league for you.

The ACL has been running continuosly for about 3,500 years. Or so it seems. It has been running since 2001 and we are about to begin the off-season for our unprecedented 18th season. We sim 7 days at a time, 3 days a week. This gives you time to plot exciting new ways to buckle under one of the predatory teams in the league.

This is a historical, fantasy league using 'real' players from throughout history. We use ratings but the ratings mean nothing. This league is a challenge and it's been written in the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal, "If you are looking for league with predators and ratings that are useless to study, then the ACL is for you"!

Since the draft begins on Sunday you will want to get in now. Visit the site, check out the league, visit the catoabase and send an email to the commissioner (link on page) to get in while the getting is good.

Actually it's a swell league, and if my plate wasn't so full I'd still be there getting my brains beat out. Recommended highly.
