Player pulling a Houdini
Argh! I'm the author of the Phantom Injury thread, and in the same Pittsburgh season where Jack Wilson mysteriously contracted a torn thigh, a player just up and disappeared off my 25-man roster. I signed free agent reliever Nelson Cruz to a minor league deal on May 21, and immediately put him on my active roster. I pitched him in relief on the 21st and the 22nd. Then, on the 25th, I went to put him in the game, and he wasn't on my roster. After the game, I checked my 25-man and all three minor league affiliates. He was nowhere in my organization. I checked free agency and the waiver wire. No dice. So I finally searched for him in the player list, and found him on Florida's AAA team. No explanation in his Career History section about being released by Pittsburgh or being signed by Florida.
What gives? |

Just curious, was your 25-man roster full without him there? If so, who had been called up in his place?

Gold, check his little blurb when you first open his profile. What does it say. If he got traded/waived it will say.
