Disappearing-messed up career stats
I am trying my first historical league. I used Ankit's Normalized DB5 to start a league in 1950. I control the Indians and Cardinals. I noticed a problem playing out my first game against Detroit. Hoot Evers homers and the PBP says "that's his first career HR." I thought wait a minute-Evers stat line shows he hit 27 in 1949. Sure enough, both his player card and HTML page show no career stats prior to 1950. Even stranger, after a few games, both Evers' card and HTML page show career stats, but his 1949 line on his HTML page doesn't match up with his general info screen. This is happening with a handful of players on every team. They either have no career stats before 1950 or their 1949 stat lines don't agree between player card and HTML page. I haven't done any checking, but for all I know, their career stats could be messed up in other years as well. Has anyone seen this before, know what the problem might be, or what I should do? Thanks in advance for any help.

In the first season of any league using a DB such as Ankits, players will show a statline for the prior season that does not reflect his OOTP league stats. In the case of a normalized DB, it will show his "normalized" stat total that was used as the basis for his ratings. After that first season, that stat line will show the correct prior-year stats. Don't worry, it won't mess up the career stats at all. In order to import players with all of their career stats from the past intact, you would have to use a DB that contains all of those stats.

Thanks for that info. So if I understand correctly, what I am seeing is normal and there is no problem?
