Not Ready for Primetime Fort Worth Logos
i was messing around with the Fort Worth Buckeroos idea and came up with a couple of ideas. i'll post them here. Like i said they're not up to the top designers standards. i'm a little two dimensional. i'm inviting comments or suggestions as to how to up my game in this area.

Well the first thing I see is what you already mentioned - seems very two dimensional. Drop-shadows or a contrast-colored outline might add some depth?
Of these I like the one on post 5 the best, but the difficulty with using that color yellow for the horse is that it becomes harder to see where it is up against the white background. If the horse had a more three dimensional look it might stand out more. The theme of that design is very good though.

Dark Horse, those are very well done.
You should enter one of them...or maybe both of them...in the contest. I like #3 best...make the horse/rider yellow though...I think it would bring the horse/rider out and spotlight them a little more...that is very creative the way you did the city and the nickname lettering...very well done. #5 is nice, too...like the inclusion of the diamond. Prefer the rust/yellow to the green/yellow. Last edited by Eugene Church; 02-25-2005 at 05:33 PM. |
