Home Plate Baseball League - Established League Has Two Openings

The Home Plate Baseball League (http://www.hpbl.pointatrad.com), is currently looking for two mature, competitive owners who enjoys a fun and relaxing environment. We have just made our switch to the 2007 season on Thursday.

The two openings are:
St Louis Cardinals - This is a team that was the victim of an inactive owner. They do have a couple players to build off of, Albert Pujols and Scott Rolen.

Oakland Athletics - These are the 2006 American League Wild Card winners, and have been in the post-season in all three of the previous seasons. The team's cornerstone is without a doubt, 3B Eric Chavez, and has one of the best starting rotations in the American League with the likes of Mark Mulder and Barry Zito.

The HPBL uses a unique financial system that has worked really well. Instead of using a salary cap, just as many other run-of-the-mill-real-player-leagues uses, we have a revenue sharing and a luxury tax. This ensures that all teams will be able to spend the cash they have, while at the same time, giving the small market teams a chance at signing players that they may not be able to sign using a salary cap.

We also have other very nice additions that you may not see in your nearby run-of-the-mill-real-player-league.
  • Franchise Player Rule
  • BOSI Database
  • CATO Database
  • Committed league staff that helps the commissioner in day-to-day activities
  • Archives of every season since the beginning
  • Average age of owners is over 25!

If you are interested in joining the league, please sent the commissioner an e-mail to raderick24@pointatrad.com. We ask that you include the essentials, such as your name, your e-mail address, any IM usernames you may own, and a little about yourself. If e-mail isn't good enough, you may post a thread on out non-GMs forums here (http://hpbl.pointatrad.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10).

A copy of OOTP6 is a must!

Both positions have been filled.

Thank you for the batch of applications that I had to pick through, pull some hair out, bang my head on the wall, to figure out which two owners I have to choose, when in reality, I wanted to expand to 34 teams with the great applications I received.
