Need help to download eriqjaffe's great new photopack

As most of you probably know I am computer-challenged...my apology if I asked stupid questions.

Basically, I hope someone will give me step-by-step instructions to download these photos...eriqjaffe's excellent photopack.

When go to the site to download eriqjaffe's new photopack, it gives me the choice of "open" or "save" file.

Do I just click "save" and it will download to the my hard drive?

Do I have to tell it where to send them?

Do I have to extract them?

Will it be in the form needed to put in the photos folder of the league I want it in?

Once I get them on my hard drive, I know that they should be placed in the league photo folder...and I can do that.

I noticed this photo set is in "paint"...and that all the photos do not show up at one time and be visible in the folder like LivnLegend's and Killebrew's. I see they are numbered p1.bmp, p2.bmp, p3.bmp, etc. I have to click each individual one to see the photo. That when it shows the photo in "paint".

It seems that I must change the numbers and renumber them to begin where the other photopacks leave off...otherwise it will overwrite those numbers.

Do I have to renumber them?...I already have Killebrew's and LivnLegend's fine photopacks.

Do I use Batch to renumber them? Is that an easy program for a computer dunce to figure out? I used IrfanView previously and it worked well, but it also took over the sound part of my computer and replaced paint to show logos and photos. I uninstalled it for that reason. It seemed to be taking over areas of my computer without me telling it to.

Do I have to do anything else to prepare the photos to place them in the proper league photo folder?

Sorry, I hope this makes some sense...hope you can help.

Yes.

It will default somehwere - wherever it was set originally - but if you don't know where that is, then give it a location when it asks (like the desktop so you can find it).

If it's a Zip file, you'll need Winzip to extract them. It will also ask "where" so you'll have to create a folder somewhere to put them in. After they are extracted, you can drag-and-drop them to the PHOTO folder you want them in.

They will need to be BMPs but I suspect they are JPG to save download time. There is a program you can find on Google called BatchThumbs that will convert them for you.

The BatchThumbs program also has an option to rename files. You can start at the next available number and continue from there

The things you mention probably weren't casued by these programs, but by some other problem.

Nope, but I suspect that sounds like enough

Hope that helps.

Thanks, BigCity...you are always so helpful and so knowledgeable.

It is very much appreciated.

I'll give it a try and see if I can stuggle through it.

At least now I have some idea of what I have to do.
