Attention Logo Designers: Logo #3 San Jose Sunrays For "favorites" Compilation

LOGO #3 is for the SAN JOSE SUNRAYS.

"SUNRAYS" was chosen because of the great Napa Valley Wine Industry...sun, soil and climate are very important elements in the creation of the award-winning fine California wines produced at the 50 wineries located in the beautiful area in and around San Jose.

If you would like to design a logo, you have until Midnight Tuesday at 11:59 pm CST (USA) to e-mail it to jnshmoo. You may submit more than one logo...but please make them distinctly different from each other...and not just slight variations of the same logo.

thanks for the early post EC, I didn't think I would be able to do #3 due to school starting to get into full gears but thanks to the early post, I might just be able to make it.

Yeah, we kinda need the logo makers a little bit, don't we?

I will share the other two members of the city/nicknames selection committee...I think it will be ok with them.

Don't want to wait until the project is over to recognize them.

Special thanks to knuckler and DreamTeams for their great help in choosing the city/nicknames. They really are very thorough in their research and suggestions...and they are great guys to work with, too.

Sunrays, eh? I recall someone awhile back requesting an Orlando Sunrays logo, I guess I can go back and dust off that design and rework it a little.

Of course, I still have to use the design I didn't have time to do for the San Antonio Tejanos logo.

I just wanted to drop in a quick note to anyone who is planning on sending in an entry. Due to some unforeseen problems with the 2nd week contest, please keep an eye out for a confirmation email from me. If you don't receive one, please contact me so that I can make sure that I don't miss your entry.

Another thing to try might be to request a read receipt when you send the logo to me.

I have also set up an autoresponder that will at least confirm that my server has processed the email. I don't want this to happen again!

You can send your entry in now if you would like...Tuesday is the last day you can enter.

You do not have to enter all of the rounds to submit a logo.

I would send it in no later than Monday, if it were me...that way I would have the time to be able to contact jnshmoo if I did not get confirmation of receipt from him.

Anyway, I've now sent in my first attempt at logo-making. It's no Cuss/LivnLegend/LGO/Dbacks/Knucker/nm/pepe et al. piece, but such is life!

I am working hard on my logo, just started an hour ago, I really doubt I can send one in but I am going to try anyways. It's going to be a race against time.

How long does it normally take you to do one? I've never actually timed myself, but if I had to guess I'd say it takes me around 6-8 hours in total to do one. Of course, a lot of that time is tied up in endlessly trying different little things, going back and forth as I try to decide what small adjustment I like best.

For the submissions I just sent in, you inspired me to do a complete logo treatment for both. So later on I'm going to post the primary, secondary, and alternate logo versions for the two concepts I did. I still have to finish the secondary logo for the second concept...
