Question Best tunes while playing OOTP4

OOPT doesn't have sounds, so that means while you're playing you can have your favorite CD jamming in the computer's cup holder.

From my chair "Southern Culture on the Skids" CD "Dirt Track Date" works pretty well.

I like to have a set of baseball themed mp3s playing in winamp in the background. Things like "Centerfield" by John Fogerty or "Glory Days" by the Boss.

I usually have the same CD playing while I'm OOTPing. It's a compilation disc I recently purchased called Pure 80's. There are a lot of 80's albums out there, but this one has the most songs that I like from that period. Yes, I'm Hammer, and I'm an 80's child.
, yet

Pink Floyd. It's perfect background music.

Unless I'm rallying in the 9th. Then I switch to the This Week In Baseball theme song that I downloaded from somewhere.

I am an 80's child as well.

I turn on the Direct TV dish and tune to 80's music, nothing but non-stop music! Heaven!!

"Pennant Fever" from the Major League soundtrack.

Or anything by Leahy.

It depends where you are in your season.

If your making a Playoff Run Metallica is the best.

If your team just is stinking up the place Ozzy Osborne is a good choice.

If your in the damn playoffs, you better be listening to AC DC.

I usually go with some Glenn Beck, the follow that up with Rush Limbaugh . However, nothing beats listening to some Art Bell while up late .

Usually no tunes. More often, the late Sportcenter since I usually don't load OOTP until the kids are in bed.

Someone mentioned having baseball themed tunes playing in the background. Anyone remember the golden oldie by Danny Kaye called "D-O-D-G-E-R-S (Oh Really? No, O'Malley)"? I'l like to download that if it's available anywhere on the net.

Good ideas, I never thought of playing some baseball themes.

I listen to my computer sounding like it's going to explode if I try running any programs other than OOTP... including media player... ah, the soothing clicking away of the hard drive...

a winamp shuffle play of all the baseball wav's I could find on the net plus crowd sound files from High Heat found at baseballsim central and Bronx Bomber wav's from http://www.geocities.com/bronxbombersound/2000.htm

For a change of pace, Rock, Classical and Christian Midi files in shuffle mode.

I have almost 2,000 songs on my cpu so I just put it on random play (Nickelback, Tool, Staind, just about any new rock band).
For downloading songs you might also want to tryKazaa They also have a lot of video files.

I listen to Metallica in the Off-Season, and when not-in game.

When I am in a game or at the sim screen I listen to Men-At-Work, Frank Sinatra (New York, New York), and a wide variety of baseball music.

*I'm not a Yankee fan, I just like Sinatra's song ever since I heard it as a kid at a baseball game.
