Server Connection
OK I'm obviously online and connected to the internet. However for some reason my game just started saying ERROR: A connection with the server could not be established. I tried 3 or 4 of my leagues and tried to FTP in each of them and received this message. Any help on how to get this corrected?

Only thing I can think of that I downloaded today was a new tool bar for the internet explorer....the AOL version. Other than that I didn't download anything new. Was odd cause I was able to import a team then all of a sudden wasn't able to export or import anything.

Yup... uninstall the toolbar and try again. Most likely that tool bar is interferring with the FTP in some manner.

probably messed the registry settings?
If you've got XP or ME, do a system restore to last working date. This shoudl also get rid of anything liek say blocked FTP port (that the XP firewall may have set)

I hope you didn't just delete the program folders or icons. I hope you actually "uninstalled" the program because deleting it does not uninstall it.
Some other possibilities: 1. Someone else used your pc and messed with settings or services. remedy: ask everyone in the house what they did and undo it. 2. Do you have ZoneAlarm? remedy: If you do, check the security settings to allow OOTP to access the internet. 3. Have you scanned for viruses and spyware lately? remedy: If not, scan right away and get Spybot, it's free. 4. One or many necessary services may have been disabled. Go to Start, Run and type services.msc to check services. There's a lot there so, for an explanation, go to www.blackviper.com 5. You may need to do some cleaning Open My Computer. Right click on C drive and choose Properties, then Tools. Scan your hard disk for errors. 6. With heavy usage,(pc usage too) programs can sometimes become ragged and eventually will not function properly. remedy: Backup your leagues in a separate folder and then uninstall and install OOTP again. Hope you get things running again!
