What about solo leagues, are those included as well?

No

Are you not good enough to be nominated?

If you'd look at my fellow owners in the leagues I'm in you'd understand why.

I do win in the leagues, but that doesn't mean I'm the best GM or worth being nominated. There's plenty of winning teams in leagues. There's plenty of good GM's in leagues. When you can only nominate one person from a league it's cutting out a lot of guys no matter what.

What if I'm in a league where I have the best track record but not many of the rest of the GMs like me?

You will not be considered, unless the commissioner of your league has nominated you. No exceptions.

The main question I have is what kind of league settings/rules will be in place. The other thread had one post with a suggestion of 1-100 ratings and other threads with the suggestion of no ratings. My main concern with no ratings it that minor league stats are worthless in this game. Yes, in real life, minor league stats are an extremely valuable commodity, but OOTP has proven that they are generally a waste of time.

Then there's obviously the other issues. Salary cap? Cash cap? Among other things...

FYI, the Commish of four of my leagues (Mike Lambert aka Halofan) is out of town currently, though he should be back by Wednesday night.

I will get in touch with Stacy, and we will decide on the league rules.

No ratings, maybe 2-8 talent ratings only. It would make it a bigger challange. Figuring out if your players are good, who's fast on the base paths, who's good at drawing walks, who's a good bunter, who's a good fielder etc

Since I am handling all nominations, I wanted to let everyone know who the GBPA was nominating.

As Commish of the Global Baseball Players Association, I am nominating GM Chad Dorman. His AIM is DaMavs339.

While nothing is set in stone, here is an idea of what to look for in this league:

1- Most likely, we will start off with real players. Each AMA Draft that follows will contain fictional players.

2- Financials would be turned on, however scouts would be turned off. We will have a salary cap, although the exact dollar amount has not been agreed on. However, expect a low salary cap. Each team will start off with the same market size, fan interest, etc.

3- Most likely, expect a cash cap. No dollar amount has been agreed upon as of yet, but look for a low cash cap, as in 5-10 million dollars.

4- Ratings will most likely be turned off. This will provide a great challenge for all GMs in this league. Either a 1-10 or 2-8 scale will be used for talent.

If anyone has any further questions, then feel free to ask. Either Stacy or myself will try our best to answer them in a timely matter. If you have any suggestions, please let us know. We are open to all suggestions.

If anyone out there would be interested in helping out with the league, but does not think they will be nominated as a GM, please let either Stacy or myself know. We are interested in setting up some sort of commitee, to make league decisions, etc.

As I said in the other thread, I'd be willing to help out with the orgainization and stuff, but as I'm a newbie to the OOTP community, and others have far more experience than me, I'm sure you can find others that are more qualified. Reply here, Neal, or shoot me a PM. Thanks.
