Box Scores
I zip up my league stats and then add the box scores to the zip file and then send it to my server. I noticed that when you start a new season, it does not delete the old box scores. So, if you play 1/2 way though a new season, you have 1/2 new box scores and 1/2 scores from last year in your boxscore folder. I should delete all of the old boxscores from last year when the new season begins.
I wrote a batch file that zips up the league site folder and then adds the box scores, then automatically logs onto my server and sends the file. So, after the season ends (or anytime I want to update my site), I just double click this batch file. Because of this bug, when the season is new, before the game is played, I edit the batch file to remove the boxscores.
I use Winzip's command line version of the program. I actually copy the box scores over to the league stat folder before I do the zipping. I use Windows FTP program. Using the -S:filename parameter I can have it log onto the server, switch to the desired folder and then upload and log off.
On my server, I have a batch file that is ran every 15 minutes to check for the existance of a zip file and if it is there, it unzips it and then deletes the file.
It works great, as when I get done simming, I just double click on the desktop icon and walk away.
