Bismarck Blood&Iron Logo needed
Baseball is finally coming for North Dakota.
Submit logo ideas to this thread and I will pick the best one. Team colors will be blood red, smoke grey and tanish brown. I think that fits the North Dakota location. Thanks in advance. Im looking forward to submissions. |

Not that great with German but roughly translated is Parachute Hunter?
But being what my wife calls a history dork. I do know that this is mainly used as a refernce to German Paratroopers in WWII.

Yep, you are correct, chredwdew.
It is a paratrooper. Fallschirm is "parachute" Looked it up in a dictionary. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-15-2004 at 12:16 PM. |

Stricly translated it means 'hunter from the sky'
It was used in WW2 and it still used today. Now that that is out of the way...about my logo

I have been toying with a couple of ideas today and they all have turned out bad. I had to at least make a try since I butchered the history of the "hunters from the sky"
Here are a couple that I don't really hate. |

working on it...
I've got about a half dozen logos that I've got queued up, hopefully I can get this one done for Fallschirmjager shortly.
Chredwdew, thats a couple of fine entries....although, you might toy with the colors a little to get a little more seperation there. Currently, they bleed a little bit too much into one another. Just a suggestion.

I actualy have an idea of something I want in the logo.
I would like a pickelhaube http://www.zoll-d.de/z1_bilder/a1_wi...ckelhaube.jpeg Dont make it that ornate though, just make it all a dark steel gray color. That should give you a little direction in the way of a logo. Thanks so far for the effort. |

Ask nmleague and you shall receive...a fine logo done as requested.
Another good one, nmleague. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-17-2004 at 08:10 AM. |

Nml had pretty much the same idea that I'm currently working on...an eagle. My idea, more specifically, is an "Iron" Eagle worked into the logo.
I, too, toyed with the idea of a pickelhaube in the early stages, subbing as a batting helmet on a player. I just couldn't seem to make it work, though. Now that I'm finished with the two logos I did for littlechris (Rochester and Wichita) I can now work on completing Fallschrimjagers...

Darn nice eagle, Mr. Revision or whatever your name is...once we get a fine logo, we forget about you designers...we love you the night before, but don't remember your name the day after...unless we need to change the colors or the font...or change the whole logo.

It does look quite a bit like the National league logo, but that is no matter. Very nice work. nmleague also put up a very nice effort, but I think I will go with Fastlanes since the eagle looks so good. Thanks to everyone who put up the effort. This is the first time I have used this forum but so far I am very impressed. |
