How to edit the career history ?

Does anybody know a way how to edit the career history of the players ? I want to add some stuff in my fictional league, like he is the father of him etc.

Thanks Skywalker76

well when i made my MLB player histories, i went into the league_news folder and then into the PLAYERS folder and edited them in there. I had to create over 2000 of them tho so all i did was use notepad (just like the game does) and added my history, then i saved it based on what the players number was (example....p175.txt) and then they would show up in the game....hopefully this is what you mean

Yeah thanks Mike. That was what I meant. I thought I had to do it with an editor.

Nope ya dont if it helps, my player histories are available on my site and it will give you a HUGE dent in a player's history, the only downfall is that it only goes with my roster set so if you use it with a differnet roster set, the histories wont make much sense lol

It's just that I want to add some personal stuff to the players histories in my solo league, like relationships of certain players or who hit the first hit in the new stadium a.s.o. Basically stuff that is not included by OOTP.

I do that sort of thing all of the time in my solo league, Skywalker76. It's just for my own enjoyment. For example, OOTP notes when a pitcher gets his first win. I put in there what team he got it against. Little stuff like that.

id be really careful with this if you use CATO. mentioning teams/player names/awards named after players could bring problems.
