Hmmmm...
..I guess I musta missed the little green freaks. All I saw was a big saucer in the sky. No aliens, though. Maybe it shoulda said, UFOS!
LoL...all kidding aside, I like that logo. The space background is really vivid and makes the saucer really stand out. Way ta go, nml...

Your right UFO's would be a better team name
. Wanted to try somethings using PSP flood fill, spray paint and shape drawing tools. Takes a while to learn all that PSP can do, but once you see what tools can do logos like this one only take less than 15 min. to do.

Well, if you knocked that out in 15 minutes, I think I can't wait to see what an hour or two or your efforts will produce...

I think...
the text color in Bismarck should be chaged to 'black' with a white outline, perhaps to "pop" better against that crimson background...just a thought. Other than that, your posting the screen shot of how they look "in-game" was really neat.

Your right abouot the text colors. One way that Im going with this is shown below, using pure black as the background so that the diamond and text stand alone.

That works really well, too!
Nice way to solve the problem, Nml....

I like to decide on one style for a set of logos, and then try to set up some things that make it easier to do a set fast. Using the template I created above as a PSP file I can easily change the background color or as in this case colorize the diamond.

thats a really smart idea..
I need to learn about how to do that, when I FINALLY get around to doing up logos for my own league that I've been shuffling around in my head. Then, making the logos will be a snap. Because, I too, like all my logos in a set to have a certain kind of homogenous look to them....

nmleague: excellent logos...your fonts, lettering, trim and color combinations are really outstanding...and your logos never get spotty in the game.

Just kind of thinking outloud, trying a different base. Fastlane I do alot of checking of the logos I do in the game. As you can see the colors, vibrancy etc. are kind of tuned to work with the old time skin that I use. Usually by checking I see if there is any true black missed.
actually today when I plugged in the Aliens logo I found that I had forgotten to replace all the true black. An easy way to do it is to set up a small (8) team logo test league, just save the logos to that league, open the game and check those teams. Thanks Eugene, as always your input is well apprciated and evaluations helpfull.

They look pretty good in the game so I guess I will do a set for about 16 teams.

that should be...
...one fine set of logos once you get done with them... It'll be nice to see them together as a set.

A couple of suggestions...
and you dont have to take my advice...Im just being me.
On the Samurai logo... One... misspelled Samurai...add the "a" Two... you might toy with making the red circle "the sun" a little smaller, more in keeping with the Japanese flag Three... perhaps something like the silhouette of a katana, or two crossed in the foreground of the sun...to better represent the Samurai... On the Sharks logo... Perhaps bring the text away from the borders towards the center just a tad, and give the text a light/white border to "pop" it from the background.... Other than that, I think you're really on to something there.
