1998 League File
I have created a 1998 league file. It contains revised ratings for nearly every player to more accurately represent their careers, as well as numerous created players including prospects that never made the majors, injured players, and AAA veterans. It also has a semi-updated record book. It's currently located at
1998 League File I'd love any feedback. Enjoy! Last edited by Wheele8; 12-06-2004 at 03:11 PM. |

I really like this league file. 1998 is when I moved to Houston and starting rooting on the Astros. Of course, I traded for Randy Johnson at the beginning.

I can put this up at the Download Center if you'd like. Just let me know.

That'd be great JoeRock. Also, I forgot to mention that the salaries should all be 100% accurate including length.
Also, Any suggestions for improvements would be welcome. |

I'd like to see more prospects in the Astros system, notably Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt, Wade Miller, Brad Lidge, Freddy Garcia, John Halama, and Carlos Guillen.
Edit: I just saw that Guillen is on the Mariners, he needs to be changed to the Astros. He was part of the Randy Johnson deal. Last edited by Astros02; 12-07-2004 at 11:07 AM. |

Glad to help. Just be sure to use one of the "real" databases and you can import the rookies each year. If all goes well you can get all of the players you mentioned in the draft. Here is a link to one of the databases: http://newrepublic.silvergriffin.com...hman51-csv.zip

Good job on the file...Well done. I might even start a solo league with it.

Real quick question
just tried out this roster set and really love it - I'm a huge fan of Pirates baseball, and so it's awesome to go back in recent time to such realistic rosters! Anyways - quick question - how are you importing rookies for the following years? i tried using the lahman 5.2 database but that sucks - because of the problem with debut years, it only imported 3 players. But I don't want to use ankit because that hasn't been updated with 2003 or 2004 stats! Any suggestions? Also, is it true you can't important real rookies in OOTP6 for any season after 2002?
Thanks! |

I personally use ankit. I haven't played yet until 2003 so I'm not sure how well it'll work in the years you mentioned, but it's worked very well through 2000.
A little while back somebody posted that they were doing another revised Lahman database, and that might be something you want to search for. Glad you like the league! |
