Where in the world is Cato?

Anyone hear from him anymore? Anyone know anything?

I hope he's OK... But if he just decided to give it up, that is fine, but please come out and let us know so we don't sit here wondering where he is and what the future is.

Alot of people would greatly appreciate an answer!

He seems to pop in from time to time. I'm sure he's still around.

ya maybe he did put it in. A sad sad loss, his app is the best thing for OOTP IMO.

At least a roadmap of how it worked coudl be used to continue on the great tradition. half of those table names make no sense

Yeah, talk about a "tragic loss to us all" - if Cato is actually gone, that's bad news for OOTP. I wonder if Markus realizes just how much that guy has done for the game by creating that utility of his. Without it or something equivalent, I probably would not buy OOTP7, no matter how good any new features might be.

Although I don't know Jeff personally, he was in the JOBL with me.

I hope all is well with him - I always worry when people just vanish.

While I'm hesitant to post it here, his contact info (address and phone number) are publicly available, if you know where to look...

I know where to look too. I think that would be wrong. Although, I'm worried about his well-being...if he's fine then his privacy should be respected.

I remember this happened last year around the same time. He just kinda up and disappeared while people like Killebrew answered most of people's questions about CATObase. Then one day he just popped back in, made a whole bunch of new changes and upgrades, and seems to have disappeared again. I wouldn't worry too much. I know last time he said that he just got tired of making continual changes and decided to take a break.

I really hope this is it for several reasons... If he's done it before, then hopefully that is what it is.

I get nervous when people just dissappear like that. Hope all is well and he returns soon!

I remember this, too. Everyone was wondering where he was. I even recall making a similar comment to the one I made in this thread about not buying the next version if Catobase wasn't going to be available for it.

I would have a hard time getting "into" another OOTP game without the catobase. By far this is the bread and butter for me when I am doing a sim league. I love to look back 20 years in the past and see what happened in great detail. I love that program.

I am actually pretty concerned for Mr. Cato. His program is certainly secondary to him and his family. I pray that everything is fine with him.
