Player demonted
I have yet to see a thread for this bug.
I see this a LOT in the team transaction screens. The same players will be repeated day to day, being promoted from AAA to . If you bring up the player, he is in kind of limbo. He is on the team, but he does not play in the minors or pros. He is NOT listed on the team anywhere, as far as roster, his history shows nothing unusual. This will usually straighten out at the end of the season, but he loses a season to limbo. <TABLE class=overall><TBODY><TR><TD class=empty><TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g><TD class=s5>Saturday 4/3/1967 :</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR><TR><TD class=empty><TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g2><TD class=s4>Harry Kump was promoted from AA to AAA . Gary Collum was sent down from AAA to AA . Billy O'dell was promoted from AAA to . Gene Freese was promoted from AAA to . Johnny Roseboro was promoted from AAA to . Jeffrey Jackson was promoted from AAA to . Donald Kendall was promoted from AAA to . Jay Hook was promoted from AAA to .</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> |

At first I thought this was another post about players bouncing back & forth being promoted/demoted between levels continually for many days in a row, but this sounds like something different.
So the players are on a CPU team in AAA and they are said to be promoted to *nowhere*? It is like he is promoted to the majors from AAA, except he is not really there in the majors? I have never seen anything like that before. Is this in version 6.11? Anything else you can tell - like what kind of league it is, if there has been expansion, if it happens only to certain teams? |

The only changes I have done is to rename some A rookies back in season one or two, and this bug has happened to many players, not just the ones I changed the names of. Another thing that is happening is players go into 'limbo'. They are shown as being on a team, but they are not listed on the main roster or in the minors and they do not play anywhere during that season. Very strange. A good example is Marc Mata, currently on the NYN team. He was brought up, had a good season, then he had a bad season. The next season he was on the team, according to his player page, but never played. No injury reported, no trades. Last edited by Comedian2004; 11-18-2004 at 10:02 PM. |

Here is a good example. On April 2nd, 7 players were sent from AAA to nowhere. The next day, it happened again, the same players. Also one was sent from AA to AAA, then the next day back up to AAA. (that sounds weird right there), but the other thing is very weird. Then it get's really strange on 5/3, it happens several times to the same players over and over on that day. In fact, more get added to the list. Rossi signs a contract for 300K and then gets promoted from AAA to . |

This is why i asked you if it was CPU controlled team, because that was the case here. But it seems to be the same problem.
