eMLB has one opening to fill immediately

eMLB is looking for 2 owners at this time, and we're looking to fill that spot immediately. We're heading into the offseason, which will begin our 10th season of operation.

eMLB has all the features you'd expect of a league, including WHAM Radio, an internet radio station where games are broadcasted LIVE. All World Series games are run this way, and we try to do one "Game of the Week" every 2 RL weeks.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the available team. Good farm system, good cap room going into the offseason, and two straight seasons of finishing above .500, but not making the playoffs.

The San Diego Padres also just became available due to RL issues. This team requires a little more work, but could definitely be shaped with someone who wants a challenge.

I've been in the eMLB since the beginning (9 seasons, nearly 4.5 "real time" years), and I've been involved in several leagues with James (the eMLB commissioner) going back 7+ years. He does a great job running the league and there are a lot of good owners in it. We've had some real surprises with previously weak teams making the playoffs, some really close playoff races, and the unpredictability of the playoffs.

If you are looking to join an active league that has been around for quite a while and that is very well run, not to mention one where the owners are expected to act in a mature fashion, I strongly encourage you to check the eMLB out. It's a blast!

I'm the Oakland A's GM in eMLB and it's a terrific league. The guys we currently have are a great group... always easy to talk to about trades or questions over email or AIM. The commish, James, runs a real first class league and really takes the time to do it right between our GoTW (Game of the Week - which he does a play by play broadcast for over WHAM radio and with an automatically refreshing real-time webpage), online sims, and all of the "nuts and bolts" of the league.

There's only 2 openings and after those are gone, there might not be another opening for a long time since our turnover rate is very low. Some members have been around for almost 4 1/2 years (real time). So if you're interested, check us out at: www.emlb-baseball.com

This is a bump, and a thanks to some league members for their kind words. For those who are concerned that having about half the league still be around for 4 1/2 years and that there's a clique here, Tom (Pochox) just finished his first season, while Kevin has been with us for the long haul.

So you have opinions from both new and older members.

Both teams still available, although Cleveland may end up being available if I don't hear from someone soon enough as I'll give SD back to the original owner who's currently managing Cleveland while protecting our country out in Iraq. Now that's dedication!!!

So why haven't we heard from you yet...are you afraid of a REAL challenge?

Hey all. I'm another charter member of eMLB (9 full seasons now) and I just wanted to reiterate what these guys have already said. This is unquestionably the best league I have ever been involved in. It's been a complete blast up to this point and I'm ecstatic to be a part of it. It's run extremely professionally and the group of owners that we have here are a fantastic bunch of guys. If you're looking for a league to join you needn't look any further. This is as good as it gets!

i've been a GM in eMLB for most of its existence - i'm not a charter guy, but i'm old school -- and it is something i can't imagine not being a part of. great people from top to bottom. if you are looking for an active, competitive league to join, look no further.

Hey guys,

We're just getting ready to begin Free Agency. Unfortunately, St. Louis is now ownerless due to some very difficult times ahead for that person. I wish him well and a safe return to the internet in the future.

The Cardinals are a team that can easily contend for the NL Central crown. They have work to do to become a NL Title contender, but not much. Good young talent, good lineup, good pitching prospects. Tight financial situation right now, but trading an Albert Pujols (currently making $17 million in the last season of his contract) might help there. It's all up to you!
