Whats wrong with the Cowboys?

I hate Dallas as much as anyone but they were first in defense in last year, now theyre giving 35 points at halftime? Parcells is still there, any ideas what the hell happened??

That's no excuse, the Patriots have a wide reciever playing nickel and they're 8-1!!

I dont think they were really that great as their record last year. I think it was more getting use to Parcells. Now i dont think he really scares them that much anymore. Some times teams just have fluke seasons. Remember the Bears of a few years ago. Yeah Dallas could be good in a time but i dont think they were as far as they appeared to be last year.

They also have Tom Brady, Corey Dillon and a great D (besides Brown playing nickel)

The Cowboys weren't that good on D last year, the numbers lied. The D-Line and corners are/were terrible. They blitzed seemingly every down last year which covered up there weaknesses. That isnt a style you can get away with forever, teams have caught on and have made adjustments forcing them to play more conventional defenses and they are getting exploited.

Problems are injuries, Vinny, and Eddie. In no particular order.

I'm a Cowboys fan in passing (after baseball, every other sport is just passing the time till spring), and I didn't even bother to watch tonight. I'm surprised that Henson isn't starting yet. As long as the O-Line can protect him from getting hit too much, I think it makes sense to see what he's got.

The Cowboys are horrible on defense because of the new rule changes in the secondary. No longer can the Cowboys pile 8 guys in the box and let the DB's play physical.

That was exactly the problem...too many guys on the line and not enough guys in the secondary. Most of the big plays were pretty much jump balls that could've gone either way...and if the Cowboys would've gave their corners some help, they may have been able to put a stop to the ass whoopin'!!!

Just read this on the Cowboys website ..

The Cowboys' frustration was so evident in the third quarter, even the game officials could tell. During one television timeout, the referee accidentally had his stadium microphone on, and was caught saying to another official, "You can tell they're getting frustrated. They're starting to complain a lot."
