These are some of the numbers put up during the 2055 season by Cleveland (CPU controlled) in my solo fictional league. Keep in mind that there is no DH. The team's stadium has park factors of 103 for BA and 99 for HR's so it's a pretty average offensive park. My league totals are set up to reflect today's NL.
The lineup: 1- Ben Wallace 2B .315 20 HR 84 RBI 209 hits .910 OPS 49 SB 155 runs scored 2- Jeffrey Fortunato CF .313 23 HR 97 RBI 192 hits .961 OPS 63 2B 150 runs scored 3- Russell Miller 3B .378 47 HR 158 RBI 250 hits 1.094 OPS 158 runs scored 4- Larry Tomes SS .334 49 HR 169 RBI 201 hits 1.077 OPS 133 runs scored 5- William Hill RF .326 36 HR 142 RBI 196 hits .929 OPS 118 runs scored 6- David Cluck 1B .311 24 HR 99 RBI 194 hits .887 OPS 7- Wilton Uliberri LF .269 24 HR 115 RBI .839 OPS 8- Raymond Stork C .283 11 HR 59 RBI Bernie Gonzalez C .285 7 HR 48 RBI Miller led the majors in hitting and was the league MVP. Tomes and Miller led the majors in HR. Miller, Wallace, and Fortunato were 1st, 2nd , and 3rd in the majors in runs scored. Tomes, Miller and Hill were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the majors in RBI. Team Stats: .297 BA .369 OBP .501 SLG 254 HR 1109 runs scored The 2nd highest scoring team in the league scored 931 runs. No one else scored more than 883. Incredibly, Cleveland did not win their division because their pitching ranked near the bottom of the league. They did make the playoffs as the wildcard team and won the World Series, beating my team in 6 games in the LCS along the way. The two players that did the most damage, Tomes and Miller, are both only 25 years old and are among the best offensive players I have seen in my league. |

If I were controlling that team, and not in a race for the WC, I would have been real tempted to sit Tomes and let Miller catch up in HR so he could have won the triple crown. That must bite...falling two HR short. To a team mate no less!!

Wilton Uliberri is a bum! He brought the team average below .300! Loser!
