Best Online League Start Ever

Had a hard time finding a similar thread in searching, so I decided to crack open a new one.

My beloved Jockeys opened the season 40-4 as we move into late May of 2009. We were actually 30-2 after a 19 game winning streak. We are not alone as teams in the league with great starts (Vancouver won 20 in a row at one point) and this is our first in OOTP6, but 40-4? Has anyone else had a start like this? I don't think the talent level has changed that much from last year.

I once started a historic season going 70-10 and finished 131-23. Not a bad season...

I've done better.

I remember running an FPS league of 14 teams, not online mind you, but just as commissioner to watch the league unfold under the AI's control, and the San Franciso Giants got off to a 41-8 start. They ended up with a 111-51 record if I remember right.

It didn't occur at the beginning of the season, but my Ice Pirates in POTD are 36-4 in their last 40 games in the 2009 season. That's pushed our record to a respectable 78-27 so far and we're looking to try to top our 2008 regular season record of 125-37.

Some of my top regular season records...
POTD - Glacier Bay Ice Pirates in 2008 at.... 125-37
ULB - Texas Rangers in 2004 at................. 122-40
POTD - Glacier Bay Ice Pirates in 2006 at.... 116-46
ULB - Texas Rangers in 2005 at................. 114-48
POTD - Glacier Bay Ice Pirates in 2007 at.... 113-49
ULB - Texas Rangers in 2007 at................. 111-51

I've also had four other teams finish with between 100-110 wins (with a fifth team at 99-63). In ULB we just started the 2008 season and my Rangers are lagging behind at 6-8 in the early weeks, but hopefully they'll put it together and reach at least 100 wins again.

Once I had a team win 140 games (not online, but playing against someone). This was in the earlier days of OOTP when there was less challenge and certainly no ability to turn off ratings.

Well, I just lost 6 of 8 so I don't think single digit losses for the year is realistic.
