Post Question on Resigning a Star

I'm in a league where we are entering our 2nd season and my star 25 year old pitcher who is about to become a stud has told me he doesn't like my organization and won't resign (his loyalty is minimal and he doesn't need to play for a winner). What should I do?

-Ride it out and hope changes his mind.
-Deal him now.
-Deal him to the highest bidder down the stretch

If he doesn't change his mind by the end of July(not likely) then I would deal him right at the trading deadline .

Thumbs up

You could, accidently, delete him

Deal him at the end of July.

If you feel the computer unfairly assigned poor loyalty/NfW/Clutch/Leadership values, you could edit those if you could escape the guilt.

Or you could really feel guilty and just edit his contract.

I guess it would depend how you look in the playoff hunt. I would put him on the block and look at the offers I got for him and deal him if you could get another starter out of it. If not, you can keep him granted you're in the race and let him become a FA.

Loyalty was in 3 and was just brought over, not randomly assigned.

I had the same thing happen to me where my star picture said he didn't like the organization and wouldn't resign, but after about 2 months he changed is mind and signed. My record was about .500 and he didn't care who he played for.
