Really enjoying the game, but one nagging problem has carried over from OOTP3:
There aren't enough players in the amateur draft, and this situation carries over into the free agent pool during the season. In reality, there are MANY players who are almost but not quite good enough to be drafted or to make a professional roster. It should be impossible to get three quarters of the way through the amateur draft and find that there are absolutely no center fielders remaining to draft... or to suffer three infield injuries in August and find that there are no infielders to sign anywhere.

Did you set the # of rounds to the max (20) in the league setup screen?

I have not. That's a good idea. Thanks!
Do you know whether this will just add to the number of marginal players, or whether it will overload the league with strong players? Also, can you change this once a league is underway?

I use 10 right now, until the minors are all full, then down to about 5.
From what I've seen, it gives you more medicore players, studs are still hard to come by after a few rounds. Yes, you can change this at anytime in your career. Todd |
