A few questions

I am a prospective buyer of OOTP4. I am a veteran of Baseball Mogul but I really like the idea of being able to manage the games (which you cannot do in the other game.) But before I shell out any cash on *another* management sim I had a couple of questions.

1. In the full version (I have played the demo and found no way of doing this) is it possible to save a game that I am managing before it ends w/o quitting it?

2. Is there any way to change the automated managerial tendencies (i.e. tell your manager to have a quick hook or to bunt a lot)?

3. If the answer to either of these is 'no' are there any current plans to include these features?

The answer to number 1 is no it is not possible to save a game you are in the middle of managing.

Number 2 - Yes, you can change manager tendancies for all teams - human or cpu controlled. The human controlled changes would of course only be a factor were you simming your game rather than actually managing it yourself.

3 - I am not sure if a save in the middle of a game feature is being considered.

That being said I can tell you OOTP4 is definately worth the investment. It is an outstanding game and the support from the developers is second to none.

Thanks for the quick reply! This leads me to one more question then. How? How can the managerial tendencies be changed. Can I do this in the demo to get a feel for it?

This is how you do it with the full game so you can see if you are allowed to do this.
Go to any team and click on Team setup. You will see team computer manager settings. The options in case it is not included in the demo are
Steal
Sacrifice Bunt
Hit&Run
Hook
Pitch Around

Each one can be set to 5 different levels (Normal, Often, Very Often, Almost Never and Not often).
