Question Bug?

I've played about 10 games so far with the Astros and noticed a pattern with the computer managed opponents. 3 or 4 times their pitcher came up in the later innings with their team either tied or down and runners on base yet the computer did nit pinch hit for the pitcher. Once was even in the 9th inning. They had pitchers left and players still on the bench. I never noticed this with OOTP 3. A bug??

What are the settings for PH frequency and pitcher endurance in your Era in League Setup?

In OOTP3, the computer would not pinch hit for a pitcher who had at least 20 pitches remaining before tiring and PH'ing set at Not Often or Seldom. Regardless, I agree that in any era in the 9th inning while losing or tied with runners on base, the computer should always pinch hit.

I just saw this in my league as well. The Diamondbacks were up by 1 in the 9th and let their relief pitcher bat. They had 5 or 6 guys available on the bench.

Of course, against the Brewers he hit a double. Grrrrr.

I've played 20 games so far and have seen this situation happen 2 or 3 times. Tie game, 9th inning, and the computer lets the pitcher bat.

The team had enough hitters and pitchers on the bench, so it wasn't lack of player problem. Once was a starter, once a reliever, can't remember others.

I've got Pinch Hitting set to "Often" and Pitcher Endurance is "Normal".
