Historical bug...please help

when ever I try to load a historical league I start loading the player ID's about 10 people maybe more or less depending on the year I try to load it says it has performed an illegal operation and shuts down. this is the message it also gives:

OOTP4 caused an invalid page fault in
module MSVCRT.DLL at 0167:78001637.

any idea on what this could be?

If you are trying to use the v 4.5 database(newset release) it has been stated many times on the board that it does not currently work due to changes that were made with the database. A patch for OOTP will be out sometime this week which will correct the import ability. For now you will have to use one of the older copies of the database for import.
