League Championship Series, I've gotten this far on pitching. I know, the Reds, getting to the playoffs from pitching, are you serious?

Well, listen to this.

I just swept the Padres in 2009 to go to the World Series.

Combined score of those 4 games?

Reds-17
Padres-0

It was really great to watch. 4 games of shutout ball. I wisely took out my starters around the 6th inning of games 2-4, letting my relievers go to work. My game 1 starter, Juan Cruz, went the distance in a 1 hit shutout. My team pitching is absolutely fantastic and it made me feel good to go to the finals. You should have seen me jumping around in my room just making the Champ. Series! It was nuts!

Congrats Shorty.

I just won the World Series for the first time last night. Playing as the Boston Red Sox in 2005, we win our division by 8 games. SP Russ Ortiz gets a season ending injury in the first playoff game against Chicago. We still manage to win that series, only to find ourselves in an ALCS Game 7 against Texas.

Bottom of the 9th, down 4-5, Jason Varitek (who's only batting .235 for the season) comes up to the plate and smacks a 2 run walk off home run!

On we go to face the Phillies. After going up 3 games to 1, we lose the next two and once again find ourselves in a Game 7.

The game is tied at 3 all in the bottom of the 10th when (guess who) Jason Varitek comes to the plate. One out, nobody on.. and he smacks a home run over the Green Monster that wins the World Series for the Sox!!

Of course, now I can't get rid of him until he retires. How could you trade or not sign the guy that won the World Series for you??
