Vanishing Menus

Recently purchased 6.10,runs fine except that the selection buttons(Substitutions,Sim,exit(the right hand "Buttons" blank out while the play happens and refresh when I click.I've enabled and disabled 3D through game configuration and disabled menu animations. If it's how the program handles it fine,just need to know.

Dell P4 2.4Ghz,40GB HD,NVidia GeForce4 64MB,256MB Memory,WinXP SP2

Not heard of this,(but I'm not running SP-2 either) I'd try updating video drivers.

Yeah, they always do that. Have done that in every version I've played (I think I first started playing at version 4). It's the way the game is written. Shouldn't be that big of a problem, though, since you can make any moves you want to between plays. If there's something you need to interact on during a play, like whether or not to tag up, then the option will be presented during the PBP. Otherwise, it's just like being a real manager... once you flash the signs and the play is underway, it's all up to your players to execute.

Hehe, he had me confused at first too. I had to look at the game I'm currently playing to see what he meant, because I hadn't really noticed it as being a problem, just as being the way things were. But no, what he's talking about isn't a bug, it's been that way forever.

Thanks for the "it's been that way forever",I went back and ran STB2k3,and while it's true,it's not noticeable in that version as the entire panel vanishes. On OOTP6 the buttons vanish but the outlines remain,now that I know that it's just a display issue,I'll deal with the distraction. The game is too solid to let the minor issues overwhelm the game play. By the way,the sound is a great addition.

The outlines of the buttons themselves stay? If so, that does sound like a minor display issue. I'm using the blue skin right now (can't look up the name since I'm in a game right now) but my buttons are disappearing during PBP.

And forgive my ignorance, but what's SBT2K3, and how's it related to OOTP? As I said, I started playing OOTP at version 4, but that would overlap with any game with 2K3 in the name.

I think you meant STB2K3 - Season Ticket Baseball 2003 - which was OOTP re-packaged and sold in stores....

Ah. Didn't know they did that. Why not just keep the name the same? I had heard of Season Ticket Baseball, and even think I've seen it in stores, but I didn't know it was really OOTP.

Thanks for your replies,I found some alternate skins and they appear to solve the problem,the lineups are just a little light(I accept that easier than the blanking menus). FYI,that was a typo STB2k3 Season Ticket Baseball 2003
