I doubt it is the same guy, though they may have similar job titles.

Hell, by the looks of things, the Braves should let the groundskeeper in now

Amusing...a 2-point round when his response was rendered useless since the Braves won't be playing tomorrow either.

Are you really a boxing judge

What was it they were saying on the TV tonight... since 1991 the Braves fans have been able to watch the opposing team celebrate on Turner field 12 of 13 years? Egad that is some streak

Almost reminds me of the Buffalo Bills.... (with the exception that Atlanta actually snuck in one WS win over the past couple of decades.... somehow.....)

The Braves should be pleased that they overachieved this season, won the division yet again, and made it to Game 5 of the NLDS after a couple of excellent comeback victories, as opposed to underperforming in yet another season with a bunch of overpriced stiffs. There are varying levels of success, although I'm hard-pressed to find one level that the Mets reached this season.

I still argue that no other team even had that many chances to win the World Series. It's being in the hunt that makes it special. No other team can say that.

I was impressed by the Braves in round 1. Furcal is coming into his own, I knew after game 2 that every time he came up to hit I needed to cross my fingers.

We'll see ya next year Atlanta, hopefully in the NLCS.

but 13 years of being "in the hunt" with only 1 success? Again... the Bills were in the hunt how many years? Made the Super Bowl how many time? And yet Bills fans are teased about their team being complete losers because they lost 4 Super Bowls. Forget the fact that they MADE four Super Bowls.... that doesn't matter. And as a Bills fan, I know...

Did Atlanta overachieve this year? Hell yes... did I think they had a chance against Houston? Hell no... did they play Houston better than I thought they could? Yes... played well above their capabilities. But you know, in the end, it is just another year added to the futility record.

Maybe they just drop that annoying "Chop" - it sure has hell hasn't helped them... and it can't be good karma....

I have to say good bye to the Braves as well. Hopefully next year the Phillies can stop the Braves Streak.

*Yankees -- 43 Playoff Appearances, 39 Pennants, 26 World Series Victories

*Braves (total since 1907) -- 18 Playoff Appearances, 9 Pennants, 3 World Series Victories

Yankees have been in the Series 6 out of the last 7 years, and are responsible for 2 of the Braves' losses. I argue that no other team even had that many chances to win the World Series .. except the Yankees

* = Thanks to baseball-reference.com. Braves records include the Doves (1907-1910), Bees (1936-1940), Boston & Milwaukee Braves.
