Im just tired of waiting. The game has been out for a couple of months now and still doesnt have all the promised features. If OOTP6 has taken a backseat to a future version, that future version better be alot better that 6. Baseball season is almost over, and the game isnt fully up to its potential.

A couple of months? More than that. It came out in early spring, and we're headed into autumn.

I hope Markus is really going to get to OOTP6 like he says.

You know what they say about all good things ...

The .400 Software Studios thing wasn't what I would call a failed experiment, but the early returns on the SI venture have not been good. This union has changed the personality of the OOTP franchise. I'm talking about the deafening silence from Markus. I realize companies have their policies about releasing information, but this is bordering on neglect compared to the previous enthusiasm for the fans of the game.

OOTP v7 is going to have to be pretty good to get back the OOTP series back to it's high point of v5. I would suggest a fully functional demo, like PureSim, to allow us to try this out before we hand over our money. And please get rid of the bugs that have been hanging around for years.

Thanks, I'll get off my soap box now.

While I don't agree with what Gromit said, I will say that Markus doesn't care about OOTP6 anymore.

Maybe not completely, but this is the way I see it:

98.5% Cares About OOTP7
1.4% Cares About OOTP6
.1% Cares About ITP

I've basically given up on anything that Markus says. He gave us an update saying he was back at work with OOTP6 over a month ago, and now he says that he's back at OOTP6 now. What the hell?

OOTP6 is a lost cause to him. He has already taken our money and moved on.

That's fine. Make a real good OOTP7!

Probably empirical scientific analysis beyond our comprehension. Right mauboy?

I don't recall Markus "taking" my money. I remember giving it to his company, but nobody took it from me.

I think there was a study published on it in the New England Journal of Medicine. I might be mistaken though.

Yeah. I figured it was a "mute" point in this case.

Oh. I thought it was just some kind of initiation ritual for his cult or something.

The way I see it, if Markus really was working more than an ounce on OOTP6, he'd have more information that the CRAP he gave us. And he had a type for crying out loud! He doesn't really have time anymore for OOTP6. 98.5% OOTP7. Simple as that.

He'll put out one more stupid patch that will cover the next 6 months(we'll complain a lot... again). Then by the time next summer comes around we'll all be worried about O7. Blah.

Now, Scott Sullivan of PureSim has a golden opportunity here...let's see if he takes it, or if OOTP/SI can reclaim what they once had: a loyal fan base.

It's a shame. Reminds me of how 3DO killed the Might and Magic franchise, by trying to milk it, milking loyal fans.
