Small Roster Size, Pitcher Catches Too

ok, this doesn't really bother me but I thought I would bring it up because it does seem to be a problem.

Started fictional league. Set active roster size to 15 players. Filled 'A' teams for all 8 teams. The CPU only brought up 9 players to his active roster. Which wouldn't seem like that big a deal except he only brought up 3-4 position players. Now here's where it gets really messed up.

I thought maybe playing a game would force them to fill his roster. Instead not only did he not fill to 15 players. He started his starting pitching as the catcher too. The box score correctly reflected this too, as by the 4th inning the pitcher/catcher had 7 AB and everyone else had 3. I thought ok maybe just this one instance, but game two of the season had the same thing. Pitcher starting in the lineup as both the catcher and pitcher. Getting double AB's in the leadoff spot and 9th spot.

I don't think this would classified as a bug due to the small roster size you set the game is forced to make changes like this and I wouldn't see this changing as it would be completely re-writing the AI based on __# of players per team. Something that you'll have to live w/ using the roster size that you have chosen.

yeah i'm not so much concerned at the roster management as i was concerned that the game allowed a player to be in the lineup in two different spots.

Maybe you can draft a Babe Ruth as a new pitcher and have him bat twice!
