The IOSBL Has Two Openings

The Invitation Only Sports Baseball League has two openings. The Trappe Tornadoes (AL East) and the Hollywood Legends (AL West) are both good teams. The Tornadoes finished a strong third in the AL East and the Legends were in the World Series. The IOSBL is currently in the 2009 Pre-season.

We are currently using OOTP5 and will switch to OOTP6 on Wednesday for the 2009 season. We are also expanding from 30 to 32 teams in 2009. We have a good group of owners and the people who leave generally do so because of life changes like new jobs, etc. You are required to use some sort of IM program like AOL, MSN, or Yahoo! and you must own the game.

We encourage OOTP online newbies to consider joining since our league was founded a year and a half ago by a good mix of newbies and vets.

We are set to begin our expansion draft on Monday. We're still looking for one more owner. 2009 pre-season begins after our expansion draft.

We now have an additional opening - the Long Beach Breakers. They are more of a challenge than Hollywood, but they have some young talent both at the major league and minor league levels. They are in the AL West.

This is a very active and well run league. Chris runs a tight ship (which is a good thing IMO). The owners are very knowledgeable and the forum is highly active.

I echo Chris and scotto's sentiments. I've been in the league since it's inception six seasons ago, and it's increased my enjoyment of the game immeasurably. We have seen a nice mix of owners and management philosophies, showing that there's more than one way to win in this league. Many of the other owners date back to the league's beginnings, speaking to the stability of the league, as well.
