OOTP League Server Bandwidth concern

I've had my site on there for 2 days now and I am over 80 MB of traffic already. Why is my traffic so high? My front page is only 20k in size and the file isn't even hosted on that server. I'm very concerned about this. Here is my website. I would really apreciate if someone looked at it and gave me some advice to lower the bandwidth.

Thanks

Bandwidth has nothing to do with file sizes.

Bandwidth is site usage. If a lot of people are downloading the league file each day, your bandwidth usage goes up.

Stop handing out the homepage URL to everyone on these forums for them to go ask why you're so close to your bandwidth.

Everytime someone clicks on that link it takes a chunk out of your bandwidth.

Not true...file sizes is important to BW. Bigger files downloaded more often = higher BW usage. Thus sites that say offer big movies for download use/need more BW than a site with just text.

wouldn't putting the link on the ootp forums actually exacerbate the problem?

Isn't this thread just SLIGHTLY mis-titled? Makes it sound like the person is having problems with the league site/server, etc.....

Fixed that for ya.

In a way i kinda am. I mean you can only use up 1GB a month and i've used 80mb in 2 days. I can't figure out where its all comming from? The file sizes aren't big, the league file is 3mb and is hosted off that server.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't putting files on your site cost you bandwidth. I'm thinking that when you ftp all your files to your server that it counts that in your monthly total. So it COULD just be the bandwidth that was used to put the file up.

Gee, I stand corrected. My reference was to his reference about the size of his homepage being 20K in size. Sorry I didn't make that more clear, I just assumed (shame on me, never assume anything) that anyone reading the original post would see what he was talking about in regards to file size. Also in my post I stated that bandwidth has to with usage, which is correct. It doesn't matter how big a file you put up, if no one downloads it, then the bandwidth doesn't get used.

Let's do some math here:

30 days per month (most months)/2 days = 15

80Megs in a two day period X 15 periods/month = 1.2 Gigs

So, you see, you're not 'blowing the bandwidth limit out of the water" even at your present rate.
