Questionable AI activities...

A couple of times now I've noticed that the computer has put some extremely good prospects on the waiver wire...

Wondering why this is?

Since I am close to leading the league I tried to claim one of these 5 star prospects (yes it was a 5 star 1st baseman with 68/52/44) for his main stats and extremely high talent rating (this guy is gonna be good, not even close to maxed out and only 24).

So one of the AI guys claims him, I try to approach the original owner to see if I can have him, but they want a 5 star established pitcher for him and only him.

Which begs the question if the asking price is so high, why is he on waivers?

Well needless to say he didn't clear waivers, Oakland got him.

Just very strange that the AI would do this (also seen it happen to another couple of prospects or 26 yr olds that were 5 stars but take longer to develop, so they are only a single gold star.)

I've seen this a few times also...

I think in some cases it is because they are trying to send them back to the minors after another player has recovered from an injury and they need a roster spot for him...

Many times when I try and claim the player, he is promptly removed from the waiver wire....
