Marlins and Dodgers Trade. Is Arizona next to deal?

According to sources close to the negotiations, the Marlins would obtain catcher Paul Lo Duca, reliever Guillermo Mota, and outfielder Juan Encarnacion from the Dodgers in the proposed deal in exchange for starting pitcher Brad Penny, first baseman Hee Seop Choi and a minor-league prospect, presumably Bill Murphy.

The Dodgers would then use the prospect to trade for Finely. And maybe even package a couple to get Johnson as well.

The Dodgers are also rumored to get Charles Johnson from the Rockies for like the 17th time.

I hate to see Penny go, but I like this deal for the fish. They NEED a guy like Mota in the pen, and they NEED an everyday catcher.

I wonder if the Fish will try to get another starter in case Beckett can't stay healthy. I also wonder if they plan on bringing Conine in to play 1B and go after another outfielder (Walker?) or if they just bring somebody up.

If you believe reports if Johnson doesn't allow a trade to anyone but the Yankees the Marlins are thinking of doing a three-way trade that will send Contrares to the Malrins and Johnson to the Yankees for Prospects to the Diamondbacks.

There is the link. It says, Encarcion goes to Right, Cabrera back to left, Conine to first.

ESPN is reporting the FLA/LA trade as a done deal and the LA/COL deal for Johnson as practically done.

I can't stand Charles Johnson and I hope that strikeout machine is not coming back to LA.

There are going to be some irate Dodger fans over the trading of Lo Duca.
He's one of the top 3 popular players in LA, maybe #2 over Green.

I'm glad to see Encarnacion gone and I never expected him to last more than the season with LA. He was Dan Evans last acquisition before being canned.

Who is Spects? I hope the Dodgers trade him because I never heard of him.

Legend's Lock: The Angels won't be trading for Randy Johnson

Dear Dodgers GM,
Thanks for trading away the heart and soul of your team, I hope David Ross/Charles Johnson platoon looks good starting the rest of your games. Enjoy the wild card.

Just reported on Marlins network, the Marlins might send Encarion and some prospects to Colorado for Walker.
