New OOTP5 Quasi-Historical League Starting in 1871

STARTING IN 1871
VERY FAST - A season every week .
OOTP 5 - must own; NO prospect of changing to 6.
32 Teams: AL/NL 5-6-5 Current 30 teams, Tor+Mil in AL C, Was Sens in AL E, Louisville Grays in NL C. Minimal to no relocation.
Full financials plus cash/draft picks(1st rounders only) in trades on message boards. 100 mil cash/no cap; 100K min
No Promotions Winning is the way to the fans. "Star Factor" adjustments for great players, record-setting ...
3 Round 7 each playoffs Div Winner + WildCard
Coaches off
No DH ever
4 SP Rotation min, always
List-based 1st Round of Draft. Remaining rounds auto-ed. Two rounds possible if owners desire.
No participation awards/penalties. Roll call every weekend.
Top 5 Slots of Draft Lottery-ed To discourage 'tanking' (as if there will be time ...)

Optional (I won't have enough time to):
If someone in the league wants to run BOSI and/or Cato it can be added.
If someone wants to use a schedule generator to stagger games and have inter-league play it can be added

Weekly schedule:
M: April
Tu: May/June (Upto Allstar break)
W: July (Allstar Game To Trade Deadline)
Th: Aug/Sep (Finish season)
F: Postseason
S-S: Offseason

The biggest Quasi- in 'Quasi-historical', is the need for fake players. The league will use Lahman 5.1, with all its Cup-of-coffee players and will still need many fakers. The initial 25-round snake draft will have the 115 real players plus 685 (edited, mostly mediocre) fakes to give each team a 25-man roster. Just enough fakes will be added each season so that the draft is at least 5 rounds (if necessary). To be able to play with Cap Anson, John Clarkson, and to draft a 23 year-old Cy Young: AMAZING.

The league will not be trying to re-create history. Not even ERA-specifics. The majority of stats will try to approach a modern-baseball style (but with more durability/CG/SHO for SP's). It's also likely that a big homerun hitter will emerge in the 49 years(!) before Ruth goes bananas (however no fake rookie will be created with ANY Brilliant talent).
